Mature Discipleship – Encounter with the Heart on Fire

What exactly do we mean when we call a human being ’mature’? How can we develop into a mature state of being? And why is this an essential condition for a spiritual path and the encounter with a true teacher?

The conference is dedicated to these and other questions, illuminating the essential significance of a mature attitude within us and its necessity on the inner path. Taking steps towards mature human existence demands letting go of childlike, unripe points of view in order to mature into an inner human being who loves the truth and is thus ready to receive the spiritual teaching with the entire heart.

Approaching these questions from different perspectives and applying different methods the three speakers are addressing the obstacles which we are meeting on this path as well as what it really is that supports and nouri- shes us.

W. Nelles introduces us to a mature attitude. M.A. Young opens the space for the experience of discipleship and mature devotion to a teacher. OM C. Parkin speaks from the perspective of the wisdom teachings about conscious discipleship and the limitation by childish attitudes on the path.
